And all I need was Sir Martin's blog...

...to write another blog entry. I don't know. Somehow, writing starts to become dull. I mean, the first draft for my econ articles, which should be feature stories by the way, sounded like a research RRL. Yak. I'm starting to turn into Rob. Haha. Joke. I think I'm worse than Rob now.

And yes, even with all the "blogworthy" events that happened in my life for the past few days were left un-blogged. hay.

So, before I comment on the Pisay elections controversy (hey, is The Science Scholar allowed to make this like a banner story or even just a news story? That'd be fun!), I would first give honor to the following events that made my life more interesting than it was:

--> MY FIRST FORMAL AUDITIONS. (excluding the SK one, and yes, complete with cameras and a script! waw! I suddenly became lenient to Theater Arts all over again!)

--> THE MOST SUCCESSFUL GK VISIT EVER OF OUR TEAM. That says it all.

--> SIR VLAD'S OPEN DISCUSSION CLASSES ABOUT NATIONALISM AND EVERYTHING THAT I EVER LOVED AND STOOD UP FOR. Amazing. Really.

--> THE "DRAMATIC" CAT GRADUATION. I would really miss my company. You guys are the best Model Company ever, and up to the last CAT activity, you guys proved that. Go Alpha!

There. Such wonderful things. Hay.

Now, with Sir Martin's blog, he had a post about a restructuralized SA Government and it was really impressive. Seriously. How I wish they would be implemented before we graduated. Hay. And Rob's suggestion of a student constitutional convention to draft the Student Alliance Constitution is exciting. I mean, think about it. WE can do that. And it would give such great lessons to us all. It's nice to know that Pisay is so free. (Ha! so for the readers out there who only think of pisay scholars as nothing but science geeks, think again! WE actually have freedom, you know, and WE can make changes happen. Can you? bwahaha.)

With the Pisay elections, I was, uhm, ok fine, disappointed that Guio didn't win. I don't know. I think he did well this year and would do well again, if given a chance, next year. Hay. But I'm not gonna be there next year so I'm not really supposed to be concerned at all.

Yet, with all the rumors about, uhm, the "unsatisfied losers", I can't help but say its pathetic. Asking for re-elections without sufficient proof that you have been cheated? I don't know. For me, if one really loves his or her batch (and not just the "group" he or she belongs to), he or she would help, regardless of whatever. Having no position at all never hinders anyone to make actions for the benefit of their batch. If one would insist on getting any position at all, then he or she can be compared to the worthles Filipino politicians of today - selfish. Besides, wouldn't it be pathetic to split a fantastic batch of people into two just because of an unaccepted election defeat (or something close to that?). Sayang naman ang batch niyo kung hahatiin niyo sa dalawa dahil lang may magkaibang pananaw o magkaibang pinaninindigan o kung anu pa man, gayong mas madami at mas maganda ang magagawa niyo kung iisa kayo.

I once regretted the fact that our batch only forms one party every year for the elections. Di ko akalain na may pagkakataon pala na masira ang isang batch kung may dalawang magkaibang partido ang tatakbo. As a pisay student, one should know and understand that in elections, there are losers, and yes, we are expected to be able to accept such faiths.

There. I'm gonna go back to our Econ Mag now.
