May mangyayari kaya dung iba bukod sa pag-usapan nila ang mga crush nila, mag-away sa peanut butter at mandiri sakali mang may daga sa loob nung bahay?

E pano ka ba naman kasi makakakuha ng maganda at makabuluhang storya dun sa show eh ang lahat nung housemates mayaman at isa lang ata ang point of view sa buhay. So malamang walang maging conflict. Hindi naman nila nirerepresent ang kabataan eh. Kasi kung ganun nga, dapat meron dung mga:

ATHEIST, God-chaser, REBELDE, nagtitinda ng sampaguita, MINOR DE EDAD NA GRO, conservative, LIBERAL, makabayan, WALANG PAKIALAM SA BAYAN, relihiyoso, JOLOGS, at kung anu-ano pa.

at least iba't-iba yung pag-iisip ng mga yan. Kapag nag-usap sila, hindi lang basta tungkol sa crushes nila at angst. At least, kahit papano, lalalim yung usapan.

i guess that's the word of the day. haha. 11 times yan sinabi nung Mrs. Perez na supposedly ay dapat naming lapitan para makapagsimula na kami OFFICIALLY sa trabaho namin sa PHIVOLCS.

Apparently, kelangan pa daw niyang i-COORDINATE ang whatever bago kami magsimula, blah blah blah. And she can't do that until tom.

So there. Our first day of being an intern turned out to be a total waste of time.

Anyway, masaya pa rin 'tong araw na 'to dahil enjoy kasama ang mga PHIVOLCS peeps - ivy, greggy, dani, reynard, krishna and mari. besides, binigyan din nila kami ng Personal Data Sheet na kailangang sagutan. Ang those two pieces of paper turned out to be a real challenge. Eh mas mahirap pa yata yun kaysa sa UPCAT eh. Stressful. haha. but it was funny. andami kasi naming katangahan in the process eh. Haha.

I still wish Mt. Bulusan will explode in the next few weeks. Para naman may thrill ang pag-stay namin sa PHIVOLCS.

pero mas mahirap na makitang hindi ka nagagalit dahil lang sa mga bagay na yan. lalu na't alam mo na buong puso mong kimamumuhian iyon.

tumayo ka na nga. tagal mo nang nakalugmok sa lupa, oy! siguro naman nakatikim ka na ng maraming putik para malaman mo na hindi talaga ito masarap sa kahit anong paraan.

Okay. I think the biggest decision a high school student has to take (no, i'm not talking about prom dates) is where to study for college. right? well, kung para sa'yo hindi, let me just say that right about now you are already throwing away your future. naks! lalim! kaya matakot ka na. college is like a simulation of real life. so if you won't do well, patay ka!

anyway, kachat ko si Cheska nung isang araw. sabi ko sa kanya, kumbinsihin niya ak na kumuha ng SAT (dahil wala naman akong balak na magabroad kaya dapat hindi ko na sasabihin ang tungkol dito sa mga magulang ko. Ang sagot niya:

"look, ang UP ang pinakamatinong university sa Pilipinas pero wala man lang siya sa top 500 in the world"

at alam niyo, TAMA SIYA.

shucks, nung sinabi niya sa akin iyan, hinanap ko kaagad ang listahan ng top universities in the world. may nakuha akong listahan at eto ang lumabas na results:

great. the best university in the philippines ranks only 2660 in the world. nakakagana naman magaral dito sa pinas.

besides, nasabi rin ni cheska na kung gusto mong i-pursue yung science course na gusto mo, mag-aral ka na lang abroad.

bakit?

kasi kung dito ka lang mag-aaral eh hindi ka naman makakakuha ng trabaho. wala masyadong trabaho ang mga MBB, BS Physics, BS Math, at kunga nu-ano pang science course dito sa pinas. eh kung graduate ka lang dito, hindi ka rin naman masyadong tatanggapin sa ibang bansa dahil duh, pang-2660 lang UP.

and don't even think kasali pa ang UP sa top 100 sa ASia. asa pa.

so there. since gusto ng MAtaas na Paaralan ng Pilipinas na kumuha tayo ng isang kursong pang-agham o kaya pang-teknolohiya, mas advisable din siguro ng konti kung sa ibang bansa ka na lang mag-aaral.

yun lang. ang point lang naman talaga nito ay para kumuha ka ng SAT at nang hindi mo naman binabalewala ang mga oportunidad na binubuksan para sa'yo.

 

P.S. top 1 university worlwide ang University of California, Berkeley at top 1 rin siya sa size. top 2 ang MIT at top 3 ang Harvard. top 1 sa Asia ang TOkyo University na top 87 worldwide. :D
